Laser eye surgery is wonderful. Unless you are fortunate enough to not need your eyesight corrected, you know that laser eye surgery is the closest thing to going without any form of correction. Laser eye prices can be well worth it because of the added confidence and convenience gained from laser eye surgery.  Many times you surgery will run in the $3,000 to $5000 dollar range.  Some extra costs that you need to consider is time away from work.  There will be a recovery time needed for your eyes to heal and for you to be comfortable.

When we go to the eye doctor to have our eyes tested and they tell us we need to have our eyesight corrected, what are our options. The first and most obvious would be glasses. Now glasses are wonderful and they do a marvelous job of correcting our vision so that we can see properly. Their downside is how much they change your appearance. Some people look good in glasses and others not so much. Granted a lot has to do with the style they choose.
 
Glasses also tend to not always remain at a constant distance from our eyes. Have you ever noticed people who are constantly pushing their eye glasses back in position because they constantly slide down their nose. Glasses of course can not be worn when you are sleeping, so when you arise or have to use the bathroom, if you eyesight is poor enough you may need to find an put on your glasses.
 
Glasses cannot be worn for all activities. A couple of activities that come to mind are swimming, football, boxing and I’m sure there are many more. A major disadvantage can be if you only have one pair and they get broken. Now your are in a real fix until you get them repaired or replaced. If you have eyelashes of the longer variety they can constant brush your eyeglasses with oil making you clean your glasses often.

Contacts are a good option for some without the laser eye prices, but still not perfect. Depending on the shape of your eyes some people are not good candidates. Dusty or windy conditions can make wearing them very uncomfortable. If not cleaned properly you can get an infection in your eye or eyes. They also can scratch you eye. Swimming with contacts wouldn’t be advised either. Losing a contact without having insurance can be expensive. Even with extended wear contacts they still need to be taken out at intervals.
 
However, there are many pluses for contacts. Your appearance is not altered so no one is aware you are wearing them.as they are floating on your eye. For those who desire you can change your eye color easily. Technology has really improved the comfort level.
 

 
If you desire corrected vision without adding correction, consider laser eye surgery. Technology is always improving so prices will moderate as time goes on.  Laser Eye prices are higher initially than the other options, but it can be the best option for many, considering the ongoing costs with the other options.
