Laser Vision Correction
Laser Vision Correction – Why Its Necessary
Laser vision correction is necessary to correct imperfect vision. We were all born with five senses. The sense of smell, sight, hearing, touch, and taste. Which one do you consider the most valuable or be the hardest to live without? For me the gift of sight would be the most precious. Most of the others would certainly be missed, but not as devastating as continuously living in a world of darkness. If our sight is not perfect, laser vision correction surgery can make it perfect.
If have needed to have my vision corrected since I was in the 3rd grade. I hated wearing glasses and for whatever reason my eyesight continued to degrade until the lenses were pretty thick. We’re talking the early to mid 1970′s. There was no technology available at that time to reduce the thickness of the lens. That being said when I first heard of contacts, I wanted them and I wore them for about 30 years. Over that period of time I put up with some discomfort related to wearing contacts, but it was well worth it. I was willing to put up with the discomfort, because my appearance drastically improved without needing the glasses.
Laser Vision Correction Technology Has Advanced
Today technology has advanced, but time has passed me by. That big step that I took almost 40 years when I ditched the glasses for contact lenses, I would be doing today. I would ditch the glasses and contacts for laser vision correction. Today at my age, I’m okay with wearing glasses, but I have no doubt if this technology had been available back then I would have had no hesitation. Laser vision correction has been around long enough and been performed enough to prove its safety.
